Speaking with One Voice

The Northeast Pool & Spa Association is your voice on legislation and regulations impacting our industry. NESPA GRAC monitors legislative action across the region and represents the pool and spa industry when these important actions are being debated.

NESPA's Government Relations Action Committee (GRAC) brings together dedicated member volunteers and lobbyists on behalf of our members to oppose onerous over-regulation and advocate for our industry. We have important relationships with Federal, State and local officials and are in regular contact to share our industry’s perspective on legislation.

The Government Relations Action Committee consists of representatives from each of our four chapters.  If you have questions about legislation and government regulations contact NESPA at 609-689-9111.

Involved in our industry

LIPSA members are automatically enrolled in our regional and national trade associations (NESPA, the Northeast Spa & Pool Association and PHTA, the national Pool & Hot Tub Alliance) with access to the most up to date news and educational opportunities available in our industry.

For example, during the Covid-19 crisis, LIPSA members receive daily notices as needed for changing work conditions, human resources concerns, best safety practices and more.

Our regional trade show, “The Pool & Spa Show Powered by NESPA” is widely recognized as the premiere pool industry event in the nation. LIPSA member companies have access to free training classes from top industry experts as a member benefit. LIPSA members must be licensed and insured, with both Nassau and Suffolk County requiring them to hold national certifications obtained through PHTA courses, and continue to receive access to technical updates throughout their membership.

Many LIPSA Board Members are active participants in NESPA and PHTA, volunteering their time and expertise for the betterment of the industry as a whole. With an extensive national network of cooperative communication, LIPSA members are always kept up to date on local, regional and national news.

LIPSA members join with other local chapters at the annual NESPA Congress of Committees which include Government Relations, Industry Education, and Membership Development & Support.

We are very proud to have so many LIPSA members recognized as national PHTA Fellows, the highest honor in our industry, awarded in thanks for years of dedication to our industry through their service on volunteer committees and as industry educators.
