President's Message
Being thankful is always on our minds come November, but this feeling means even more to us as 2020 draws to a close. Professionally, I'm thankful for my staff and colleagues at Scott Payne Custom Pools for stepping up and delivering for our customers this year. I'm grateful for the hard work done by NESPA and our volunteer leaders this year to make sure our industry could keep working throughout the pandemic.
The dedication and energy I've seen from the pool and spa industry at all levels has been incredible but not surprising. When push comes to shove, we have each other's backs. And that is a great feeling.
We often think about being thankful as a way to look back, but I think gratitude plays a significant part in planning for the future. NESPA recently announced our decision to pivot from the traditional in-person Pool & Spa Show into a live-stream Experience over the same dates. This decision was difficult to make, but I am thankful for how the Show staff, NESPA volunteers, and the industry as a whole have embraced this challenge and are creating a unique experience for our industry.
Despite the challenges we face, we need the opportunity to connect as an industry both professionally and personally now more than ever. I know we all will appreciate that chance this January, and this will pay dividends in what will undoubtedly be a demanding season next year.
Coming from a place of gratitude makes innovation and flexibility so much easier to execute. That is the approach we are taking with the Pool & Spa Experience. Our new format will provide us with unique opportunities to try new things and connect in new ways. I can't wait to share more details on how we will bring everything we love about the Pool & Spa Show available to you online this year.
As always, I want to thank you, our members, for all you do for our association and the industry. Working together, there is nothing we can't accomplish.
