The Northeast Pool & Spa Association is your voice on legislation and regulations impacting our industry. NESPA GRAC monitors legislative action across the region and represents the pool and spa industry when these important actions are being debated.

 


 

 

NESPA's Government Relations Action Committee (GRAC) brings together dedicated member volunteers and lobbyists on behalf of our members to oppose onerous over-regulation and advocate for our industry. We have important relationships with Federal, State and local officials and are in regular contact to share our industry’s perspective on legislation.

NESPA Names Winners of Outstanding Achievement Awards Competition

NESPA announced the winners in its 2019 Outstanding Achievement Awards – Builders and Service Competition -- in Atlantic City, the night before the big Pool & Spa Show opened at its annual Welcome Party, which this year was held at The Saloon Bar at Bally's Hotel.

Best of Competition Award Winner – Drakeley Pool Company

The awards celebration at the Welcome Party threw a much-deserved spotlight on the amazing building projects and stellar service provided by members of the Northeast Spa & Pool Association.

The 2019 Competition featured more than four dozen companies submitting nearly 200 entries between the Builders Competition and the Service Competition, which resulted in 102 awards being given across both competitions’ categories.  Competition was once again high as these awards continue to be viewed within the industry as a benchmark of professional achievement.

“Celebrating our award-winning member companies in front of the largest gathering of their peers was a great way to recognize their hard-work and talent,” said Mitch Katz, President of NESPA. “The caliber of construction work and service provided by this year’s winners was really second to none.”

The caliber of this competition continues to grow each year and it’s always exciting to see new companies stepping up to share their work,” said Barry Kenny, Past President of the Northeast Spa & Pool Association.  “From the top of the line building projects to the tremendous feedback our service companies receive, this awards program is a chance to put a spotlight on the great work done by our members.”

The Outstanding Achievement - Builders Competition recognizes NESPA members whose installation of pools, spas, hot tubs and water features represent the best examples of the industry’s products.  The Outstanding Achievement - Service Competition recognizes NESPA members whose quality of service and repairs is also paired with a high level of customer service.

Special recognition was given to the Judge’s Choice Best of Competition Award Winner – Drakeley Pool Company, Bethlehem, CT. This award is presented to the company whose project received the highest overall score in the Building Competition.  Drakeley Pool also took home the People’s Choice Award, which was voted on the show floor at The Pool & Spa Show. 

Gold Medal Winners of the Service Competition included DS Pool Service (Royersford, PA), Integrity Pool & Spa (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), Lipari Pools (Bridgewater, NJ), and Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony (Patchogue, NY).
