Business in the NESPA Region: Builders Report Strong 2019 and Anticipate the Same for 2020

As the 2019 season comes to a close, pool and spa builders in the NESPA region report a strong year and are planning on the same for 2020.

Builder to Offer Stronger Customer Service Experience

Our outlook for the 2020 season is to continue building unique pools and custom backyards. We want to offer an overall stronger customer service experience from our design people to our project management team. We do most of our work in-house including tying our own steel, plumbing, patios, landscaping, and lighting. Our clients value a company that can do the majority of the work in-house, and we also pride ourselves on that as well.” --  Greg Imhoff, Blu-Sol Pools, Bloomingdale, New Jersey

More Pool Contracts Signed in Fall than Anticipated

“This fall we signed contracts for more pools than we could have possibly anticipated. We will have one of the busiest winters and springs for our Gunite construction. -- Anna Torchia,  Coral Sea Pools, Briarcliff Manor, New York.

Strong Uptick in Pool & Spa Builds

“What we are seeing trending right now is an uptick in custom pool and spa builds. Our jobs in progress for the New Year are all new builds, custom, renovations for existing pools, and an increase in the commercial pool sector. Especially, commercial pools at multi-unit residential communities, that are looking to provide pools as a main amenity for their residents.” Brian Parks, Tranquility Pools, LLC, Haskell, New Jersey

Business Strong for Spring, Summer 2020

“2020 outlook is good, for now. We have spring work for the construction company, and our other company, Drakeley Industries Consulting and our work as expert witness/construction defect testimony is always busy. Water Shape University is building venues and will be extremely busy throughout 2020.” William Drakeley, Drakeley Pool Company, LLC, Bethlehem, Connecticut

Strong 2019 and Strong 2020 Expected

“We expect to see very similar results as 2019. The economy does have a feel of softening a bit although it is still strong. Residential clients in our demographic [area] are typically insulated from most small economic shifts, however, they do seem to be more focused recently on getting maximum value out of the project.” Scott Neave, Neave Pools, Wappingers Falls, New York

Good Opportunity to Grow Company in 2020

“The upcoming 2020 pool and spa season for custom projects is very strong. The leads are consistent and there is plenty of opportunity to grow our company.” Bruno Morganheira, Crystal Clear Signature Pools, Southampton, Pennsylvania
