With new and existing licensing requirements throughout our region, its important to make sure you obtain and maintain your PHTA Certifications.  NESPA offers both in-person and online opportunities to take the certification course.  Check out our upcoming in-person class schedule including an open testing date on July 17th.  Interest in online courses? Click here.

5th Edition Builders Manual is required.  Purchase for additional $165

The course is an excellent way to prepare for the CBP Certified Building Professional® exam. 

This 3 ½ day course takes you through the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (formerly APSP) Builders Manual and gives you information you need to comply with industry standards. You will cover all types of pool and spa installation processes, water feature construction, layout, excavation, hydraulic design, and industry standards. 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Although the class prepares you to take the CBP Exam, it is not included with fees.
  • You must contact PHTA at 703-838-0083 for pre-registration details and exam qualifications. 
  • Candidates must submit to PHTA a completed CBP Application at least 14 days in advance of their anticipated testing date. Download the Application

NESPA will be offering the CBP exam at the conclusion of the PSCC course on July 12th for those who have received approval from PHTA.

NEW Licensing Requirements in New Jersey!  Builders/installers will need to hold the PHTA Certified Building Professional designation. More details on this new law.
